Chemistry Oct. 8 & 9, 2014

OBJECTIVE: Students will complete a short evaluation and use the textbook to make notes on the structure of atoms.

Home work
Read pages 101-102 and answer the following questions.
1. Describe Democritus’s idea about atoms.

2. Explain Dalton’s atomic theory.

Classwork
Evaluation of chapter 2-Place your answers on loose leaf paper
Making notes on atomic structure
Objective: Students will read chapter 4.3 and make an outline of section 4.3
The following terms must be covered in the outline: atomic number, mass number, isotopes, & atomic mass.
 For each red subheading create & write 1-2 questions before starting to read. After reading the section write the answer/notes to the questions in your notebooks.
