•Warm-up- students are to write 3 goals that they have for themselves in school as a whole and/or the class specifically. Write 2 in journals and 1 on a piece of paper/sticky notes.

Home work

Give the everyday definitions for the following words and then look up the scientific definitions for the words: facts, hypothesis, theory, law, scientific method, observations and inferences.

Nature of Science (NOS)

•Objective: Students will complete an activity where they will make observations and inferences.

•Although scientific knowledge is supported by a wealth of data from repeated trials, it is not considered the final word.
