Students will create a poster demonstrating their understanding of the role of
the circulatory system and the digestive system in homeostasis.

•WARM-UP
1.What
is homeostasis?
2.Name
several compounds whose concentrations in the body, must be controlled.
CW
•In
order to prepare for a written evaluation (TBD) students will create a paper
poster/another medium(TBD) to show the relationship between the
circulatory system and the digestive system in maintaining homeostasis with the body.
•Use
annotated diagrams, pictures, etc. when designing your poster.
•Demonstrate
understanding of the anatomy and physiology of
the heart, blood vessels, blood (composition and structure), digestive system
with particular focus on the stomach, small intestines, liver, pancreas, gall
bladder.
Scoring
rubric
•INFORMATION
The regulation of the concentrations of 3
substances used/produced by the body to maintain homeostasis.
The correct anatomical names are used to
describe structures and biological processes are explained correctly.
The link between the two systems is
clearly illustrated
•ARTISTIC
CONSIDERATIONS
Diagrams are large and clearly labeled
with some annotations.
Overall artistic appeal
