1. Define the terms “invasive species” and “native species”.
2. What could be one problem that invasive species may have in a non-native ecosystem?

CW-group activity- groups of threes

1. Each student select an invasive species

2. Create a paper presentation on their selected species

3. Make a presentation to class

THE FOLLOWING FEATURES MUST BE COVERED IN THE PRESENTATION: (2 class periods)

1. The common name and biological name for the species (2pts)

2. Give the native location for the species.(1pt)

3. Which new ecosystems(locations) are the species found today?(2pts)

4. How do the species get to their new locations? (1pt)

5. What effect do the invasive species have on the new ecosystem(5pts)

6. What are some common traits that all invasive species must posses (4 pts)

7. What steps are being done to manage the invasive species?(5pts)

8. Include pictures of invasive species.(2pts)

 9. Oral presentation (8pts)
