ENVIRONMENTAL SC. NOV. 8 & 9, 2018

OBJECTIVE: Students will use a model to create a watershed, make observations on the physical characteristics of a watershed, and describe the impacts of human activities.

WARM-UP
What can be some possible reasons why rain water after a heavy rain storm, might not be able to seep into the ground but form runoff instead?
What happens to this water that does not seep into the ground?

CW-crumpled paper watershed (lab activity)

A. Groups: groups of twos
B. Materials: student’s sheets to be completed during lab activity (p.5-10, 1 set per group), Spray bottle, dry erase pens.
C. Each group must complete the activity outline on the sheets 
D. Obtain a copy of the lab handout
