OBJECTIVE: Students will devise a way to make presentations to the class on various topics in order to review the work done so far.

1. Show using a sentence or two, how the following systems are interconnected with each other: circulatory, nervous, & digestive systems.

Biology review assignment

The class has been divided up and assignments given to each group of students. Each group is to provide some way of presenting information about their topic to the class. Each group is asked to be as innovative as possible in providing information to the class.

Topics

1.     Cellular respiration-glycolysis, krebs cycle, & ETC (Jeneva, Aniyah, & Emonee)
2.     Photosynthesis-light dependent & light independent stages (Alex & Mariatou)
3.     Protein synthesis-transcription & translation, structure of proteins (Ethel, Tamara, & Jody)
4.     Nervous system-resting potential, action potential, & synapses (Aakilah, Yared, & Bintou)
5.     Sliding filament model of muscle contraction and synovial joints (Shania & Hannah)
6.     Immunity-active immunity (both primary and secondary responses), passive immunity (Jefferson & Mabel)
7.     Breathing, gas exchange & high altitude living (Beltine, Jenifer, & Brea)
8.     Myogenic and neurological control of the heart; flow of blood through the heart (Sabeena & Jasmine)
9.     Digestion, absorption, & assimilation of nutrients (Remi, Efuetngu, & Priscilla)
10. 1 disease of each of the following systems 9a) circulatory system, (b) Nervous system (c) Immune system (d) respiratory system (Claire & Camiella)


Time to complete preparation is 2 classes (Tues. 12/13/16 & Wed. 12/14/16)

Presentations will be on Thurs 12/15/16 & Fri 12/16/16

Evaluation will be on Mon. 12/19/16 on all work presented both selected response and constructed response questions
