•OBJECTIVE: Students will complete a lab to investigate the effects of various factors on the rate of photosynthesis.

Obtain a copy of the lab handout, read it in its entirety, and answer #1-6 the questions for review. Make sure that you know how to set up the photosynthetic chamber. Decide on the treatments that you will investigate.

1. Students will work in groups of 2

2. The factors that will be investigated in this lab will be (a) light intensity and rate of photosynthesis (b) amount of carbon dioxide and rate of photosynthesis. Half of the class will complete (a) and half will complete (b). So students must decide which

3. Students must organize themselves to see which set of data they must collect in order to answer one of the above factors.

The lab will be conducted during next class.
