ENVIRONMENTAL SC. NOV. 5 & 6, 2018

OBJECTIVE: Students will discuss and explain how fresh water can be both a renewable and a limited resource; explain the significance of a watershed.

Read “looking for water in the desert” page 419 and answer the question: Why are we running out of water in Las Vegas? (state as many reasons as you can)

In your notebooks, complete the following:
1. Define the following terms: watershed, pollution, landform, ridge, runoff, tributary, & land use.
