BIOLOGY FEB. 12, 2018

OBJECTIVE: Students will organize themselves, design, and create a presentation in order to show their understanding of various topics.

WARM-UP
Outline the series of events that occurs during the onset of an nerve impulse.

Inquiry based learning

Students will decide on which of the remaining topics in bio they will work on, the length of time for preparation, and the grouping used for this assignment. At the end of each set of presentations, there will be an assessment.

Topic chosen: 1. Kidneys and osmoregulation 2. Homeostasis
All students were directed to the understandings plus the applications and skills section of their textbooks as a guide as what they should focus on.

Time period: 2 class periods (2/14 and 2/16) and presentations on the 3rd class (Feb. 20th ). Assessment on Feb 22nd. (tentatively)

Groupings: pairs (selected by the students themselves)

Medium of presentation: digital using Chrome books

A set of assessment questions will be provided at the beginning of the working session.
