OBJECTIVE: Students will describe and explain the 4 levels of protein structure.

WARM-UP
1.Draw the structural formula for ribose and deoxyribose. Show they are different structurally.

2.Draw a symbolic representation of a nucleotide

Poster creations and presentations
Instructions
Students will work in pairs determined by the drawing of cards numbered 1-3.
Students who pick card #1 will complete topic 1, card #2, completes topic 2, etc.
Time allocation: 2 class periods where a presentation of the completed work will take place on the 3rd class
A test on all work covered will take place the class after completion of presentations.
Assignment
Construct a poster to show your understanding of the following processes. Details of reactions and enzymes involved are needed.
#1. Protein synthesis-transcription, translation, 4 levels of protein structure
#2. Respiration-glycolysis, kreb's cycle, electron transport chain, structure of mitochondrion
#3. Photosynthesis-light dependent & light independent stages, structure of chloroplast
