OBJECTIVE: Students will complete an assessment of IB command terms and a  summative review of year one in biology.

1. Explain the difference between each member of the following pairs: (a) mitochondrion & chloroplast (b) transcription & translation (c) genes & chromosomes (d) glucose & starch

Classwork
1.Command term test and grading
2.Grading done in pairs. Each student should write a reflection of their performance on the assessment and include what steps you will take to improve your understanding.
3.Turn in the score on the assessment and the reflection.

3. Working in groups of 2 answer the questions as a group (1 answer sheet per group). Record your score on the paper on the teacher’s desk.
4. Grade the assessment and write a reflection on your performance/level of knowledge of the topics assessed. Turn in reflection
