Making notes on describing chemical reactions

In your note books make notes on the following:
a.What is a chemical equation?
b.What are reactants and products and where do they appear in a chemical equation?
c.State what symbol is used to represent solids, liquids, gases, solution, heat, & arrow.
d.How do you write a word equation?
e.How do you write a skeleton equation?
f.How do you write a balanced chemical equation?

1. Write a word equation for each of the following reactions:
a.Iron reacts with oxygen gas to produce iron (III) oxide.
b.Hydrogen peroxide decomposes to produce water and oxygen gas.
c.When methane gas is burned, it produces carbon dioxide gas and water vapor.

2. write skeleton equations for each of the following:
Using all of the word equations written on the previous screen, write a skeleton equation for each word equation.

3. Balancing chemical equation. Write balanced equations for reactions mentioned above.
