OBJECTIVE: Students will design a lab in writing to measure how some factor may affect the rate of respiration and/or fermentation.

WARM-UP
1.Define respiration, germination, and fermentation.

2.How are these processes related?

Home work 
Using the handout research (read and record) various ways of measuring rate of respiration and rate of fermentation.

Classwork
Complete lab design by working in pairs.
Students with a black card will design respiration lab.
Students with a red card will design fermentation lab.
Although working in pairs, each student is responsible for their own design.
