OBJECTIVE: Students will describe the path blood takes as it moves through the heart twice and once around the body.

WARM-UP
1.Explain the relationship between arteries, veins, capillaries, venules, and arterioles.

2.Describe generally, the path blood will flow in (a) pulmonary circulation (b) systemic circulation.
Classwork
Complete the handout on circulation as lecture is delivered on the following topics:
1. Describe the flow of blood in the pulmonary circulation.
2. Describe the flow of blood through the systemic circulation.
3. Compare the structures of arteries, veins, and capillaries.
4. Describe the myogenic control of the heart beat
